Refund Policy

1. About this policy
1.1 This policy explains when you can cancel an order or return reclaimed materials bought from Lawmans UK Ltd, trading as Material Reuse Group, and how refunds work. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1.2 Because our materials are reclaimed and often available in limited quantities, please read the description carefully and, if you are unsure, arrange to view the stock at our storage facility before you order.
2. Cancelling before collection or delivery
2.1 You can cancel an order at no charge at any time before we have dispatched it or before your booked collection slot. Contact us by email or through the portal and we will refund any payment in full within 14 days.
2.2 If we have already incurred delivery costs on your behalf when you cancel, we may deduct those costs from your refund.
3. Damaged, missing or incorrect items
3.1 Please check your materials on collection or delivery. If anything is damaged beyond the condition described, missing, or not what you ordered, tell us within 48 hours with photographs where possible.
3.2 Where we agree that an item is faulty, mis-described or missing, we will offer a replacement from stock if one is available, or a full refund for the affected items including any delivery charge that relates to them.
4. Returning materials you have changed your mind about
4.1 Business customers. Because reclaimed materials are sold as seen and quantities are allocated to your order, we cannot normally accept change-of-mind returns from business customers once materials have been collected or delivered. We will always consider requests on a case-by-case basis; please contact us.
4.2 Consumers. If you are buying as a consumer and ordered online or by phone, you have a legal right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 to cancel within 14 days of receiving the materials, without giving a reason. To do so, tell us in writing within that period. You must then return the materials, or make them available for collection, within 14 days of telling us. You are responsible for the cost of returning them unless they are faulty, and we may reduce your refund if the materials have been used or handled beyond what is needed to check them. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the materials back.
4.3 This right does not apply to materials that have been cut, altered or installed, or to services that have been fully performed with your agreement within the cancellation period.
5. Services and memberships
5.1 Audits, reports and other services that we have started with your agreement are charged for the work done up to the point of cancellation.
5.2 Paid memberships can be cancelled at any time and will run until the end of the period already paid for. Membership fees for periods already started are not refundable unless we have failed to provide the service.
6. How refunds are paid
6.1 Refunds are made to the payment method you used, within 14 days of us agreeing the refund or receiving the returned materials, whichever is later.

7.2 If you are a consumer and we cannot resolve a complaint, you may be able to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution provider. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
